Hello Fast Monday people!
Hope you are all having a good day.
I started back in November and fasting is becoming a regular part of my week – although ususally on a Tuesday. I missed one day over the Christmas and have actually been anticipating in a positive way my fast day this week. It is a great way to maintain control and get back in touch with what food my body really needs and I love that empty hungry feeling the next morning. Makes me slow down and savour what I am eating too.
Enjoyed the fastimonials – good addition.
If you need some great recipes for lovely juices, try getting your hands on this BRILLIANT LITTLE BOOK.

Yum Yum Yum
I’m back in the game! It was amazing to get back into my fast yesterday and I feel really good today. First thing I thought of this morning was ‘it’s crazy tuesday’ – the messages have sunk in
! My saving grace yesterday was my buddy Susann and the conference call last night so thanks for being there. Makes a big difference knowing everyone else is doing it. When the rumbles strike it makes me think twice about breaking my fast.
Thanks again. Love the feedback page, is very inspired. Happy Crazy Tuesday. Over and Out. Karenx
Hi Brent,
Fab idea this – I tried out a few combinations today & here are my thoughts –
1. Apple, pear, plum, & ginger (all peeled); lemon juice to keep pears & apples from going too brown; extra water to thin it out. 6/10 for my taste buds
2. Apple, pear, plum, & ginger (all peeled); lemon juice ; a splash of V8 vegetable juice to thin it out. 8/10 for my taste buds
3. Apple, pear, plum, beetroot & ginger (all peeled); lemon juice ; a splash of V8 vegetable juice to thin it out. 5/10 for my taste buds – not a fan of beetroot
4. Apple, pear, plum, & ginger (all peeled); one banana, lemon juice ; a splash of V8 vegetable juice and water to thin it out. 7/10 for my taste buds – not sure about having banana in a juice like that
Anyone else with recipe tips?
thanks!
Tracey
♥Just noticed my buddy Joel has left a message so want to follow it to say – our buddying is going really well. Hi Joel!!! – its a really good support.
I’ve been fasting for a few months now – and I love it. I’ve lost a few pounds and feel more sprightly – its become such a part of my lifestyle. I look forward to it every week, it’s had a massive impact on what I eat during the week, I eat more vegetables and hardly any bread – just coz I don’t feel like it any more(like eating stuffing!). One of my favourite juices is beetroot with celery, carrot, perhaps some cucumber……yum, it is quite potent so you could add a little water but I like it straight!! Juicers are like magic – you put in hard solid vegetables and out comes delicious, nourishing drink!
Brent, thanks for setting this up! I’m in my fourth week of juice fasting and I can tell you the benefitss really aren’t just about weight loss or fitness.
I have become really clear how I sometimes use food as an emotional crutch. The discipline of fasting, which I really enjoy, allows me to find healthier expressions for my emotional life.
I have also discovered that I use bigger portions than I need, so allowing my stomach to shrink back to its normal size once a week really helps me with portion control during the week. It certainly keeps me aware of this even if I do go back to old habits!
Overall I feel more in control of my body and mind. I intend to keep this up throughout the winter with lots of lovely hot bouillon and veggie juice mixtures that you recommend!
Cheers, Joel
Completed second fast yesterday – finding that Tuesday is not as good as the Monday when energy is very high (less work digesting) and more time to get lots done as no meals to prepare (family get left overs or self service). I felt pretty hungry and a bit shaky today although I have eaten sensibly.
I did not like my beetroot juice mix with apple and lime – not recommended. Am definitely going to go for a hot version next week as susan Rs suggestion.
Been taking part in Fastmonday for 4 weeks now, and it’s brilliant!!
It’s easy to think that you’re missing out on something when you don’t eat, but in reality what I’m gaining is so much more…….lovely juice for starters, every fruit imaginable, or veg. I even throw the odd smoothie on for good measure.
The first week was a bit challenging, I’ll be honest, but now it feels like a way of life. It’s just about getting into a routine and it really helps me stay disciplined all week long, not just on the Monday.
I’ve also lost a couple of pounds and have achieved week on week improvements in my personal best times at the gym and when running. I knocked a minute and 21 seconds off my 10k best time on Sunday – on a really hilly route too. Bring it on!!
I would recommend this to absolutely anyone. Go on………..give it a go!
The cold, cold winter is descending and some of you may go off the idea of juicing because it is all cold and what we really want is something is something WARM. Try juicing carrots, parsnip and celery and warm up with a little bouillon……….delicious. Don’t boil it as you will lose the goodness. Try other combinations and let us all know how you get on.
Thanks for putting together this website. Love your attitude and find the videos helpful. Wonderful!

Brent, have just come across this and I’m loving it! Currently trying to talk Paul into doing it! Max
I’m 6 weeks pregnant, can I still do a juice fast? I like the idea as I’m eating a lot of fruit at the moment anyway, but want to make sure it’s safe.
FastMonday says: We have no idea but would not recommend it. You could juice with your diet but don’t take any risks with your baby and always consult a qualified medical professional. If you have any doubts – anybody – don’t fast.
Hi Brent,
Many congratulations. What a brilliant and simple concept, and the way you put it across is inspired.
How long have you had this… er… cooking then? When we last met, I was about to begin my Think Yourself Slim Weight Loss workshops (using NLP and hypnotherapy), and you must have been in the middle of creating this beautiful website. And neither of us knew what the other was up to!
We must talk!
Meanwhile – best of luck. You’ve got a great offering here which I’ll be sure to tell my newsletter readers about.
Love and best wishes,
Lysette

A very inspiring website. I can’t wait for next Monday – i’m off to buy my first juicer. Many thanks!
Please share your juice recipes.. new to this and wondering what wonderful combinations there are. Obviously the carrot, apple and ginger.. but what else fits the fast?
Hi brent, brilliant website! really well done. I would love to try fastmonday but i dont think i could fuel my body efficiently enough with the training im doing everyday at the moment. 6 weeks till i go to the Royal Marines! cant wait! cut down on my drinking aswell, you’d be proud of me! Didnt get a marathon place but I can promise you i will be doing it again someday, maybe even to beat your ongoing record, you never know! see you soon x
Brent, you are a legend! I was laughing so hard watching you in these videos, but your message wasn’t lost. You never do things by half do you? And how bizzare is this world we live in, you only mentioned to me in passing about your monday fasting a few months ago, and for some reason I have been thinking about it all this week, and out of the blue you send me this email… I don’t belive in fate, but I somtimes wonder
Cant wait to start fasting , think I’ll have a piece of chocolate crunch to get me limbered up for a bit of a fast!!!!!!!!
