What’s involved in FastMonday.com?

At FastMonday we have a simple practice of not eating for one day a week. Every Monday we fast – or rather ‘juicefeast’ as we like to say and take in no solid foods. We do it as a community with group conference calls, emails and a buddy system to support you.

In our experience, there are three key ingredients of successful fasting. This is not about starvation, deprivation or being really uncomfortable. It’s about giving your body a break and creating control over your food and discipline over your diet.

1. The Power of Juicing. Consider the fast a feast! Drink as much fruit & vegetable juice as you like! This will keep you full of vital nutrients to keep you fresh. Experiment, try out new recipes and concoctions. It’s fun and will keep you going. Make sure you drink plenty water as well.

2. The Power of the Mind. Gain control over your mind and learn to eat what you body needs rather than what your mind demands. We’ll train you to have self control with your food. We have lots of tips and tricks about being healthy.

3. The Power of a Group. Doing anything alone is hard work. We are social animals. At FastMonday we fast together with a structure to create support  for you to succeed.
